Loch Kinord Hotel

Fabulous enjoyable stay

Pros: Myself my husband and dogs all stayed in the lodges. The lodge was clean had everything you could need lots of space! Lovely view of the Forrest!

Cons: Loved our stay the only thing that would have been perfect was a baby gate outside on the decking to keep our dogs on the decking area or had we been traveling with children keep them a bit safer. I’m sure this would help parents but it might not allowed as it’s a fire exit.

Very happy

Pros: Very clean, excellent heating for winter, great kitchen, comfy beds, awesome bath and shower. Owner was extremely helpful.

Close to Braemar and Ballater. Comfortable accommodation

Pros: Stayed in the cabins at the back of the hotel. Clean, warm and comfortable

Everything we wanted and more

Pros: Well maintained, tastefully decorated. Catered for a birthday we were celebrating by upgrading our room and allowed us to have our own cake as part of dinner.

Far better than most we have stayed in

Pros: The team was very welcoming and informative. We was offered an upgrade and took it. We choose not to use all the facilities in the room due to only staying for 1 night. When contracted for room upgrade, I requested a bottle to be put in the room and this was there when we arrived.

Cons: The price of the breakfast. It was nothing special but I understand that with them also running a chalet business and only having a small restaurant space it suits them. (Restaurant not being overly busy with chalet users). When we go away, we always price the the whole price of the stay. Therefore still value for money.

Pros: Food, drinks, staff, room comfort and cleanliness all excellent.

Cons: Our only minor niggle was the tiny amount of shower gel provided+luckily we had our own).

Excellent rural stay in a traditional Scottish Property

Pros: Food was great, service was excellent, staff on hand at all times, great location and brilliant amenities

Beautiful location, very comfortable self catering cabin

Pros: We stayed 3 nights in a 2-bedroom self catering cabin located on the grounds of the hotel. The location is amazing, very close to the Loch Kinord walk and 3 miles from the nearest town. The cabin was lovely, very comfortable, super clean and had absolutely everything we needed. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful. We ate dinner in the hotel restaurant on our first night which was great. There was good choice available and they had a children's menu available. I'd highly recommend the cabins for families, there is a lot to do in the area (e.g Burn O'Vat, Balmoral Castle, the snow road drive).
